Hello crafters and welcome back to my blog. Today I’m showcasing my entries to the latest Lawnfawnatics challenge, details of which you can find in one of my earlier blog posts. Creating projects inspired by members of the Lawn Fawn design team has been so enjoyable and I hope you love them as much as I enjoyed making them.

I have a profound admiration for the incredible design skills of Tammy Stark, one of the talented members of the Lawn Fawn Design Team. Her innovative and breathtaking design aesthetic consistently captivates me, and I love each and every one of her projects. She is a master at Copic colouring, ink blending and creating the most stunning cards. The current Lawnfawnatics challenge to create a card inspired by one of their DT members was the perfect excuse for me to recreate one of her cards but add my own style to it.

In March, Tammy shared this beautiful new baby platform pop-up card featuring elephants set in a turquoise cloudy scene with a giant crescent moon. I loved it so much that I chose to recreate it for the challenge.
One of my favourite stamp sets for new baby cards is the ‘Swan Soiree’ set by Lawn Fawn. I’ve incorporated it into so many new baby cards that I wanted to feature them in this card too. I used a similar ink blending technique to Tammy, using the ‘Kitsch Flamingo’ Distress Oxide ink on the clouds and wraparound scene to create a soft pink glow. I cut the moon and stars from Lawn Fawn ‘Sticky Note’ cardstock, adding some subtle ink blending and hints of shimmer with gold paint. I love the mummy swan with her flower headband and the green leaves of the reeds really pop out against the pink background. The sentiment is from the same stamp set too.
While the colours and stamps are different, I think my card keeps the essence of Tammy’s beautiful card. There are so many possibilities on how her card could be adapted – the giant crescent moon would be perfect for a darker Halloween themed card!

I also made a second card inspired by Design Team member Jenn Shurkus. She created a fabulous rainbow fairground themed birthday card using watercolour pencils, stencils and Lawn Fawn stamps. The fairground stamps have quickly become some of my most used stamps – my Instagram page is full of cards featuring them! ‘Coaster Critters’ includes a rollercoaster, ticket booth and various accessories while ‘Wheely Great Day’ has a ferris wheel and six adorable critters to ride it!

While I loved how the watercolour pencils created such a soft rainbow, I sadly don’t have any in my crafting stash so I used a variety of Distress Oxide inks to create the rainbow instead. I also incorporated a line of rainbow washi tape below the die cut ride tickets to carry on the rainbow theme. Finally I added a third critter holding an ice cream, some yellow stars to fill the blank white space and plenty of glitter! Check out the reel on my Instagram page to see just how sparkly it is!
I had so much fun recreating these cards and I think I could probably recreate many more too. The Lawn Fawn Design Team are some of the best and their projects are always such a huge source of inspiration for me.
Happy crafting!
Really great cards
