I’m a real stickler for tradition, especially when it comes to Christmas, and every year I decorate my house in red, green and gold. When it comes to Christmas crafting however I prefer shades of blue, turquoise, lilac and silver.
The Winter Wonderland collection at DRK Crafts perfectly fits my Christmas crafting aesthetic and I’ve been having so much fun making a variety of cards with them. The range includes a decoupage pad, paper pads in various sizes, wash tape, wooden embellishments, pom poms, stickers, gift tags and more.
The decoupage pad includes 24 sheets – 3 sheets of 8 designs. All you need to put them together is some small foam pads to add the dimension. Coordinate them with the matching paper pads for quick and easy to make cards.
The wash tape can be used in a variety of ways including creating backgrounds on your cards and adding a splash of colour to your mailing envelopes. Who wouldn’t want to receive a Christmas card in a beautifully decorated envelope?!
For this card I added alternating strips of wash tape onto a piece of white card that was the same size as my card base. By adding the tape to a separate piece of card rather than directly onto the card base, it allows you to wrap the ends of the tape round the back of the card, hiding the scruffy edges and creating a crisp, neat edge. I finished the card by adding a matching decoupage topper.
This card took less than 15 minutes to create, perfect when you have a lot of cards to make! Combing a sheet from the paper pad with a decoupage topper is even quicker! There are so many beautiful designs in the paper & decoupage pads that there are endless stunning combinations you can make. The only additional supplies you’ll need is card bases, glue and foam pads, all of which you can also pick up at DRK Crafts.
