Hello crafters and welcome back to my blog. Today I’m going to be showcasing my latest card, a new baby card featuring both stamps and dies.
One of the new products in the latest Lawn Fawn release (Spring 2023) was a die called “Giant Outlined Hello Baby“. This die creates a giant sentiment that can be customised with patterned paper, cardstock, and glitter to name just a few. Lawn Fawn have released several different ‘giant outlined’ dies over the last few releases and they are great for quickly and easily making beautiful cards.

For these cards I cut the die out 4 times – twice in white cardstock to create the frames and then in ‘pink pow’ and ‘blue blast’ from the ‘stripes ‘n sprinkles’ petite 6×6 paper pad. This created the coloured letters that will fill in the white frame. From the ‘what’s sewing on?’ petite paper pad I then cut a large stitched rectangle (5.5 x 4.25) in the pink and blue floral design.
I attached the white frame onto the floral background and then filled in the letters and shooting stars with the spotted paper. The cards already looked pretty like that but I decided to add some stamped images for extra detail.

I stamped images from the ‘elephant parade‘ stamp set including baby elephants, a crown, a flower garland and baby bottles. After colouring them in with Copic markers I attached them to the front of the card with small adhesive foam squares, adding dimension (and extra cuteness!) to the card.
These cards could quickly and easily be recreated in a variety of colours and patterns, with different baby animals featured at the bottom or just as the sentiment on their own. If you’re just starting out with paper crafting these giant outlined dies are the perfect place to start. Impress your friends and family with beautiful, handmade cards, crafted in just minutes!
Happy crafting everyone!
