There are many different crafting companies around the world that make everything from acrylic stamps and dies to paper, ink and pens, which means there is something for everyone and every crafting occasion. When I first started on my crafting journey I fell in love with a company from southern California called Lawn Fawn, specialists in stamps, dies and paper. I saw a card on Pinterest featuring a stamp set called ‘Out of this World’ – there was a cute little astronaut floating through a beautiful space scene of vivid pinks and purples, surrounded by planets and I knew I just had to buy that set! Four years later my love for them is still as strong. Their cute and simple style speaks to my design aesthetic and their products just get better and better each year.
Lawn Fawn release new products roughly every 3 months, with their summer release due at some point in May 2023. You can expect to see lots of cute new stamps (often featuring mice or other critters), dies and patterned paper pads along with other crafting accessories like washi tape, twine and adhesive. During the week before release, Lawn Fawn have an ‘Inspiration Week’ on their website. Members of their design team showcase some of the new products and the projects they’ve made with them, and intro videos on Youtube show how to use them. Their videos are invaluable, particularly when learning how to make a new interactive card.
For crafters here in the UK, ordering directly from Lawn Fawn is possible but shipping rates and times make it prohibitive. The great news though is that the UK has some great online craft shops that stock the full range of Lawn Fawn products as soon as they are released. My top two online craft shops are ‘Dies to Die For‘ and ‘Seven Hills Crafts‘.
While Lawn Fawn might be my chosen craft company they might not be for you. There are so many others to chose from, its just about finding your personal style and what works for you. With crafting there are no right or wrong answers, just what makes you happy. Crafting is for everyone, you just have to pick up a piece of paper and begin!
Happy crafting!
